What type of riding is the Big Sur designed for?
The AIMA Big Sur is a fat-tire all-terrain eBike designed for commuting, recreational riding, paved roads, gravel paths, dirt trails, and other mixed-terrain environments.
Its 26" × 4" fat tires, suspension fork, and powerful motor provide comfort, traction, and stability across a wide variety of riding conditions.
The Big Sur is delivered as a Class 2 eBike with a top assisted speed of 20 MPH.
Depending on local regulations and dealer configuration, certain models may be configured for Class 3 pedal-assist operation. Please contact your authorized AIMA dealer for details.
Up to 70 miles, depending on terrain and assist level.
The Big Sur is equipped with a 750W BAFANG rear hub motor designed to provide strong acceleration, hill-climbing capability, and reliable performance across a variety of riding conditions.
The Big Sur features a torque sensor.
A torque sensor measures rider pedal input and delivers motor assistance roportionally, creating a smoother, more natural riding
experience and improved efficiency.
The Big Sur is designed to accommodate a wide range of rider heights.
Please refer to the size chart on the product page or visit your authorized AIMA dealer for a professional fit recommendation.
The Big Sur is designed to support a aximum payload capacity of 400 lbs (181 kg), including the rider, cargo, and accessories.
Always ensure cargo is properly secured and distributed evenly.
Yes.
The Big Sur's fat tires, suspension fork, and powerful motor make it well suited for gravel roads, dirt paths, and light off-road riding.
Always ride within your skill level and avoid terrain beyond the intended use of the bicycle.
The recommended tire pressure range is printed on the tire sidewall.
For maximum efficiency on pavement, riders typically use higher tire pressures. For improved comfort and traction on dirt, gravel, or uneven terrain, lower tire pressures may be appropriate.
Always remain within the pressure range specified on the tire.
Because the Big Sur uses large 26" × 4" fat tires and heavy-duty wheels, spoke tension should be inspected periodically.
AIMA recommends having spoke tension checked during routine service and after the first 100 miles (160 km) of riding.
If you notice loose spokes, wheel wobble, or unusual noises, contact your authorized AIMA dealer for inspection.
The Big Sur is equipped with TEKTRO
hydraulic disc brakes and large 203 mm brake rotors designed to provide powerful and consistent braking performance in a variety of riding conditions.

Yes.
The Big Sur is designed to withstand normal riding conditions, including light rain and wet roads.

However, the bicycle should never be submerged in water or cleaned using a high-pressure washer.
After riding in wet conditions, dry the bicycle and electrical components as soon as possible.

Please contact your authorized AIMA dealer for approved accessory recommendations and installation assistance.

Brake rotor condition
Spoke tension
Crank arm tightness
Front wheel retention hardware
Chain lubrication
Suspension fork condition
Battery mounting and security

AIMA recommends having the bicycle professionally inspected by an authorized dealer after the first 100 miles (160 km) of riding and periodically thereafter.
